 OUR MISSION

Outstanding Stewardship — protecting and caring for the scenic, historic, and ecological assets of the property that historically comprised Lake June in Grovemont (2.35 acres), while providing access for visitors.

  • For the enjoyment of visitors
  • To create an educational resource showcasing the natural ecology of the Western North Carolina Mountains, the beauty and variety of native wild spaces in our area
  • Maintaining as wild and natural an environment as practical

OUR GOALS

Everything we do is with the following goals in mind:

  • To Introduce native plant species where appropriate and establish distinct habitat zones for the enjoyment of visitors as well as an educational resource showcasing the natural ecology of the Western North Carolina Mountains;
  • To Create access routes and walking paths to allow visitors to enter the property while maintaining as wild and natural an environment as is feasible;
  • To Explore ways to use the property as an educational resource to inform visitors of the beauty and variety of native wild spaces in our area.

Make this plan as detailed and complete as possible to use as a roadmap for future development of the property..
